Airplane Data Logger
Project notes
Logs data from
- Dynon EFIS-D10A
- Dynon EMS-D10
- Garmin GNS430
to a USB thumb drive.
------
UART1 is GPS 9600 baud
log messages are prefixed with "G:"
UART2 is EFIS 115200 baud
log messages are prefixed with "F:"
UART3 is EMS 115200 baud
log messages are prefixed with "E:"
The original version was based on mbed, which as a development environment did not age well. The board I used is not available anymore and there is no hardware upgrade path. The code won't build on the current or previous version of mbed. The mbed version's c++ source is included only as reference.

USB Drive Airplane Data Logger
Teensy 4.0 based Arduino source.
Uses USBHost_t36.h and TimeLib.h.
Analysis Tools
Data analysis is done with Jupyter notebooks. Separate notebooks are used for EFIS and EMS logs.
GPS data is visualized with Google Earth.
clone this repository.
Rename Analysis_Tools something like Flight_Data_Logger.
Rename Nnumber Data to your tail number.
Edit walk_logs.py so PLANE="Nnumber"
Edit new_flight.sh so PLANE="Nnumber"
